QuestionsHi, I’m looking at your IBT enclosures for a concrete construction project, and I’m trying to make sustainable choices wherever I can. Can you tell me if the IBT range is made from recyclable plastic? And if so, what type of material is it?

Dear Theo,

Great question—and yes, sustainability is a big focus for us. The enclosures in our IBT range are made entirely from fully recyclable polypropylene (PP) copolymer. It’s widely accepted in recycling streams and can be reused in both mechanical and chemical processes.

We chose PP for this role because it’s a strong, durable material that’s perfect for demanding construction environments, but it’s also one of the more environmentally friendly plastics. It can go through multiple recycling loops without a big drop in quality, and it has a low environmental impact compared to other common materials.

This all means it strikes a good balance between performance and sustainability. So, if you’re looking for an enclosure system that supports greener construction without compromising on strength or reliability, the IBT range is a solid choice.

If you’d like more details or help selecting the right enclosure for your application, just let us know—we’re happy to help!

Kind Regards,

Chris
