Dear Ed,

Thank you for your question! Yes, many of Spelsberg’s enclosures are made from recyclable materials, and sustainability is a key focus for us.

We use materials like polypropylene (PP) and polycarbonate in many of our products, both of which are fully recyclable. Polypropylene, in particular, can be recycled through multiple loops without losing its durability, making it a highly sustainable choice for both mechanical and chemical recycling processes. In addition to being recyclable, PP produces minimal environmental impact, as its leachates are considered among the least hazardous when exposed to weathering.

At Spelsberg, green is more than just the colour of our logo – it represents our commitment to sustainability. Over the years, we’ve taken significant steps to reduce harmful substances in our products, and we’re proud to be certified under the DIN EN ISO 14001 environmental management system. This certification demonstrates our ongoing efforts to reduce the environmental impact across all our operations, from product design to manufacturing processes.

We’re also constantly exploring new materials and processes to benefit both our customers and the environment. If you’d like to learn more about our sustainable practices, feel free to visit our sustainability page.

If you have specific requirements for your application, or if you need more details on the recyclability of a particular enclosure, we’d be happy to assist further!.

Kind regards,

Chris
