Dear Dean,
An electrical enclosure with ingress protection (IP) rating IP67 is often require in industrial settings to protect key equipment, such as control devices, from high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns. In effect, these solutions can withstand aggressive cleaning regimes by offering complete protection against ingress of dust and airborne particles, water and liquids. Also, they can endure temporary immersion in depths between 15 cm and 1 m.
Spelsberg can support such applications with its TG range of enclosures. Made of robust, high impact plastics, such as polycarbonate or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), the series offers IP67 and IK08 ratings. In addition to water jets, the TG electrical housings are resistant to damaging strong acids, and other solvents that may be used in industrial washdown environments. Finally, these enclosures can operate in extremely low and high temperatures, between -30°C and +80°C.
