If I was to fit a cable gland in an enclosure would this effect the IP rating of the enclosure?

The IP rating of an enclosure will not be effected as long high IP rated cable glands are used. All of Spelsberg cable glands are rated IP68. Please see the link below for Spec sheet and drawing.
